H2O Masters are proud of our members!! Here are some of our achievements:

(3/16/10) Congratulations to Beth Shannon for earning 3rd place in the Area 92 Tall Tales contest!

(2/25/10) H2O Masters capture the Elusive Gilded Gavel!!
Four and a half members of H2O Masters Toastmasters club ventured out on a crisp, sunny February morning to capture the Elusive Gilded Gavel (EGG) from Marsh Winds Toastmasters. "Four and a HALF?", you ask. You see, one of the members, Mark Forsberg, belongs to BOTH clubs, so he counted as 1/2 member, according to the official rules. Pictured, L to R:
Jodi Schoh (President), Sue Tinklenberg, Carolyn McCormick (VP Membership), Beth Shannon (SAA), Mark Forsberg.
Our gracious hosts, Marsh Winds, had a jam-packed meeting with the theme, "Attitude of Gratitude" and featuring three speakers. In true EGG tradition, a cup of coffee was spilled (we won't incriminate Mark here) to which Sandy Ryan quipped, "He's spilling over with Gratitude!" When the time came for the Gavel hand-off, H2O Masters marched confidently to the front of the room accompanied by the theme from "Mission: Impossible". After the capture, to ease the Marsh Winders' pain of losing the coveted EGG, we left a gift of Reese's peanut butter EGGs!
H2O Masters will be the proud owners of the Gavel until another club sends two or more members to one of our meetings to capture it from us.
**Alas, H2O Masters were able to treasure the Elusive Gilded Gavel for only 26 short days. Hutchinson II Toastmasters captured it from us on 3/23/10.

(12/15/09) Jodi Schoh and Sandy Zoulek took home the prize for Best Talk Show at our holiday meeting. Congrats!

Here's an example of a Toastmaster going out of her "comfort zone"...... Sue Tinklenberg and the rest of the "Buttercup Bunch" ham it up in the Friday Fun Night lip sync contest at the Fall Conference, 10/23/09.

District Six Audit Committee (2007-2008)
[not pictured]
Beth Shannon, Jodi Schoh and Mark Forsberg served on the District 6 Audit Committee for 2007-2008. Mark started the year as the Auditor, then recruited Jodi and Beth to fulfill the committee responsibility. The auditing consists of reviewing the receipts and disbursements and the bank statements for the District accounts. Involvement on the Audit Committee helps members to understand the District financial affairs and be an important part of the volunteer organization. Their work adds credibility to Treasurer’s reports. "The integrity of financial reporting cannot be assumed as evidenced by scandals of this decade and in our backyard this fall with the Petters Group," said Mark, "It was an honor to serve the District in this important role."

(9/9/08) Congratulations to H2O Masters club speech contest winners!
